Water Tankers

Water tankers to support fire appliances where water supply is an issue. Typically built for rural fire applications with the most recent build for the Christchurch City Council on a Hino FS1 6×4.

Rural Fire & Forestry

Throughout its history, Mills-Tui has manufactured fire appliances for the rural fire and forestry sectors. These include both private and government run forests, timber companies and small rural communities. The current Light Rural Appliance, complete with Compressed Air Foam (CAFs) capability is an excellent example of this area of expertise.

Defence

Mills-Tui has the capability to build all types of transport related vehicles for defence work. Previous builds have included airport fire appliances, trailers, truck decks, refuellers and lubrication vehicles. Our most recent work was to manufacture steel tipping bodies for the New Zealand Army’s new fleet of MAN cab/chassis.
